Life Is Like Quiche

You are probably wondering why my blog (which will be of my stay in France) is entitled Life is like Quiche. It just is. The title was written down somewhere and I wanted a title that was interesting and funny and different. You have to admit: it isn't boring! Besides, who can resist a title that states the truth?

In any case, I leave Thursday evening to go to France with a "short" stop (about 8 hours) in Madrid, Spain. Don't worry; I'm bringing a lot of reading material. And a pillow. The plane trip to Madrid will be roughly 7 and a half hours long. The flight from Madrid to Marseille will only be one and a half (thank goodness!) and a friend will pick me up at the airport and take me to her house. Then one of her family will take me to Avignon (which, I believe, is only 20 minutes or so from her house) where I will meet up with representatives of IAU (Institute of American Universities--my school while I'm in France). I will then go through Orientation and meet my Home Stay mom. School starts on Monday.

That is all I know so far. I will post more (including pictures) at a later date. I do not know how often I will be updating to this blog, but it will be as often as I can make possible.
